BS Bio Freshman tops UPG rankings for UP Mindanao Batch 2024

The highest University Predicted Grade (UPG) student for Batch 2024 hails from the BS Biology program.

BS Bio freshman, Ephraim Xavier Lou R. Maturan, delivered his speech during the University Convocation on 19 August 2024 at the Atrium of the Administration Building, representing the freshmen and as the student with the highest UPG.

The event marked the beginning of the academic year, introducing the students of Batch 2024 to the University’s environment and culture. The students were officially welcomed by UP Mindanao Chancellor Prof. Lyre Anni E. Murao. A convocation message was delivered by Mr. Errol A. Merquita, an award-winning Bisaya writer and alumnus of the university. The event concluded with a student’s pledge and the induction of newly elected officers of the University and college student councils.
